CHARACTER NAME: Rei Hino
FANDOM: Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon
DISTRICT: Haides
AU HISTORY:
Rei Hino was born to Takashi and Risa Hino; her father was a politician in Arcadia. What would've been a rather "normal" lifestyle and upbringing resulted in a broken home when Risa came down with a terminal illness when Rei was seven; ever since, she carried a deep grudge against her father and instead opted to live with her grandfather, who owned and ran a Shinto Shrine on the outskirts of the Haides District. For schooling, Rei attended from the private T*A Girls' Academy in Arcadia (which is a ladder-tier school) until she graduated from high school; her politician father paid for her schooling. As an aside, she is coerced to eat lunch with him once a month for his politician's image. Another reason why her father willingly accepted this estranged arrangement was because he feared Rei's powers of ESP.
When Rei was young, her first love was Kaido, her father's secretary. While Rei was less than attached to her father (to put it nicely), she viewed Kaido was a big brother figure; he oftentimes spent her birthdays with her and her father, and every year Rei received casablanca lilies as well as a white dress on her birthday. Though it was addressed from her father, she knew it was Kaido who chose them for her. Since Takashi was open about Kaido taking over his position, it was often assumed that Kaido and Rei would become engaged at some point, but this wasn't to be; Kaido was engaged to another in the politician's circle. This devastated Rei, and from then on, she decided that she would never again feel the need to fall in love.
When Rei was in her senior year of high school, her friends put her up for a karaoke competition at the school festival; it just so happened that she was discovered by a talent scout there, and after a year and a half of training after she graduated, Reira Hino debuted as a pop star. After four more years, she is now 23 and still going rather strong. AShe currently resides at the Hikawa Shrine that her grandfather runs, though if she can find a roommate, she will gladly move into an apartment in the city. She mainly stays around Haides.
